Mahendra | Enhancing Customer Experience with Master Data Management
Mahendra is the Senior Manager, Master Data Management at Lowe’s India. One of the most cheerful faces around the campus and among the first talents to join the India family, he was also recently awarded the Lowe’s Purpose Award in India. He attributes his happiness, his success and his spirit to the people who he works with. A true blue as we say at Lowe’s, Mahendra is not just confined to his role. He is a strong team member in the Lowe’s corporate social responsibility team and an enthusiastic member of our employee club, Apostrophe. He is also lovingly called our historian, since his penchant for photography makes him a default presence in all our internal events! For him, Lowe’s is more than just a place to work, it’s an extended family, and he finds it motivating to come to work every day and be a part of an extended team, helping wherever he can!
Mahendra’s team at Lowe’s takes care of master customer data, which later is used by the Analytics team to understand the customer buying patterns. The team also supports the content (photos and videos of all products), which is a core part of Lowe’s business. For example, his team here helps updating customer information, which then leads to a seamless customer experience for all those who shop at Lowe’s. At the core of it all, is the connect to our purpose, which Mahendra believes that his team contributes to, though indirectly.
Having been with Lowe’s since its inception in India, Mahendra says that it is the warmth and the energy of the team that brings him to work everyday. Having worked in different service companies in the past, he attributes Lowe’s as a totally different learning and working experience!
